Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Find answers to common questions about Conduct Keeper.

Getting Started

What is Conduct Keeper?

Conduct Keeper is an all-in-one conduct and PBIS platform for K–12 schools. It helps schools track and resolve incidents, celebrate positive behavior, and turn data into proactive support so every student belongs.

Who is Conduct Keeper for?

We serve single schools (not districts). Administrators, teachers/staff, and counselors use Conduct Keeper to streamline workflows, improve visibility, and build a stronger school culture.

How can we see a demo or try a sandbox?

Book a 30‑minute demo or request a sandbox from our Contact page. We’ll tailor the walkthrough to your school and can provide a short-term sandbox with sample data.

Features

What core features are included?

Incident management, PBIS (awards, points, houses, leaderboards, public displays), reporting & dashboards, role-based access control (RBAC), and family-ready summaries. See the overview on our Features page.

Can we customize incident types and workflows?

Yes. Schools can configure incident categories, statuses, consequences/discipline matrix, and custom attributes. Configuration is school-specific and easy to adjust over time.

How does PBIS work in Conduct Keeper?

PBIS is built in—recognitions, points, houses, leaderboards, and public displays are included, with fairness guardrails to encourage equitable recognition. Learn more on the PBIS page.

What reporting is available?

Live dashboards and export-ready reports help you spot patterns and share progress. Data exports (CSV) are available for deeper analysis.

Pricing & Licensing

How is pricing structured?

Pricing is by school and based on student enrollment. We don’t charge per user—your entire staff can use Conduct Keeper. See details on Pricing.

Do you offer a pilot program?

Yes. Schools can run a time‑boxed pilot (typically 4–8 weeks) to validate fit, adoption, and outcomes. Contact us for pilot options.

Security & Compliance

How do you protect student data?

Each school runs in an isolated environment with encryption in transit and at rest, RBAC, and audit logging. See our Security page for an overview and to request detailed documentation.

Are you FERPA‑aligned? Do you support SSO/SCIM?

Yes. We follow FERPA‑aligned practices and support SSO (Azure AD, Google) and SCIM 2.0 user provisioning to simplify secure access.

AI Capabilities

Is AI available today?

AI features are in development and rolling out in phases. Today’s product includes robust analytics, reporting, and manual recognition; AI will add early‑warning signals, equitable recognition nudges, and pattern insights—with educators always in control.

How do you ensure AI is fair and transparent?

Our approach is educator‑first, transparent, and auditable: reason codes, confidence ranges, and full audit trails. Equity checks and bias monitoring are built‑in. See AI Capabilities for details and pilot options.

Implementation & Onboarding

What does onboarding involve and how long does it take?

We set up your school configuration (incident types, awards, roles), import rosters (CSV), and train staff. Most schools launch in days; more complex setups can take a few weeks.

Do you offer training and support?

Yes—short admin onboarding, staff quick-starts, and ongoing documentation. We respond quickly and adjust training to your school’s needs.

Technical & Integrations

What are the technical requirements?

Conduct Keeper is web‑based and works in modern browsers on desktops, Chromebooks, and tablets. For public displays, any device with a modern browser is sufficient.

Which SSO and provisioning options do you support?

We support SSO with Azure AD and Google Workspace, plus SCIM 2.0 for automated provisioning and deprovisioning.

Do you have an API or SIS integrations?

We provide export options and can discuss integrations during onboarding. SCIM covers identity lifecycle; additional integrations are reviewed case‑by‑case.

Use Cases & Workflows

What does a typical incident workflow look like?

Staff capture the incident, administrators triage and assign actions, counselors support follow‑up, and the case resolves with clear visibility and timelines. See the quick guide: Create an Incident.

How is positive recognition recorded and shared?

Staff award points and recognitions in seconds; students and houses show on leaderboards and optional public displays. Weekly digests (opt‑in) encourage equitable recognition.
